Windmere

by Mike

Received this coffeemaker as a gift from my grandmother when I was going away to college and put it in my room. It is small and compact and extremely light which makes it ideal for a dorm room or other small living space.

It has a cheap plastic feel to it, but seems to work fine. My only major complaint is that you have to put the kettle in with the handle facing a certain direction, otherwise the drip will miss the hole and it will spill over.

The coffee comes out very hot and well blended.

It does not have any sort of stopper like my previous coffee maker so every time you take it out to pour after the coffee has brewed a few stray drops still land on the heating surface.

Also, the filter holder goes in using a rail system which is sometimes hard to use, especially when you are sleepy in the morning.

All in all this product is not very well designed but is light, portable, and serves my needs in a small dorm room. The coffee comes out steaming hot and tastes great. Its simple, efficient, and just gets the job done without any frills.

do they make this anymore?
by: Anonymous

My coffee maker is old but it still makes good coffee. I have had it for 5 years. It makes 10 cups of coffee. If I have company I always have coffee left over. I would buy another Windmere because it has served me well. I don't think they make this brand of coffee maker anymore.
