TASSIMO Suprema Hot Beverage Machine by Bosch

by shanna
(MI)

I purchased the TASSIMO Suprema Hot Beverage Machine by Bosch at Bed Bath and Beyond. I purchased this coffee maker from them because I had the older Tassimo model and loved the convienence on making one cup at a time and I was able to use a 20% off coupon at Bed Bath and Beyond.

I had my previous machine for over two years when it started to give me a hard time. I gave that machine to my mother because I wanted to get the new model made by Bosch not Braun. The machine is great for a quick cup in the morning when my husband is off to work, a quick cup of cappuccino for myself and is also great for a quick hot chocolate at night or when the family comes in from playing out in the snow.

It takes under a minute per drink and they come out at the perfect temperature. There is a ever growing selection of coffee's and tea to use in the machine. We have tried many of the different drinks and have liked almost all of them. Our favorite by far is the Starbuck's coffee that is now available. The machine itself requires very little cleaning and maintenance.

There is a small piece that comes out from the brewer that I rinse after I am done making drinks in the morning and other that that a little wipe down is all that is required. This new model also has a water filer built in that is nice but you do not have to use it in order to use the machine. There is two filters included with the machine and others have to be purchased elsewhere.

I usually purchase the t-disks from bed bath and beyond but they are also available at the Meijer and Kroger by me. This is by far easier than a traditional coffee machine. Everyone that comes to my house falls in love with it too!

Needs to be cleaned regularly
by: Alicia

I recently purchased the Tassimo beverage system. I hesitate to call it a coffee machine because it does so much more than make a cup of coffee. With so many single brew systems out there, I wanted to make sure I got one that met my family’s needs. I found that the Tassimo was perfect.

This machine makes coffee, hot chocolate, espresso, cappuccino, chai, teas and regular teas.
It works with a barcode system on the pods that determines what you’re making and uses the appropriate amount of water. You push a button and the machine does the rest.

I purchased the machine from Target along with the coffee pods. One drawback that I have found is that the pods are exclusive to the Tassimo system and you cannot find them everywhere. They have to either be purchased online, at Target, Linens n Things, or Bed Bath & Beyond. I have not been able to find them in my local grocery store like so many other single brew brands that use K-cups. So you have to make sure you don’t run out of coffee.

If you don’t want to go out and purchase coffee, the Tassimo website has an auto-ship feature you can sign up for that sends you the requested amount of coffee on a set calendar. This is convenient and you can make changes to your shipment as often as you’d like. They have a wide range of choices from Starbucks, Gevalia, Twinnings, Tazo, Maxwell House & Seattle’s Best just to name a few.

A couple of things to note are that this machine needs to be cleaned regularly or the barcodes cannot be read. Also, it is expensive to keep buying all the coffees, cappuccinos, etc. But for the casual coffee drinker, or the family who has many different likes, this machine is great to have.

Quite expensive
by: Erin

After spending a weekend at a friend's house, who had a Tassimo, my fiance and I decided we had to have one of our own. We immediately put it on our wedding registry and couldn't wait.

Two months later, we received the Tassimo as a wedding gift (purchased at Bed, Bath, & Beyond), and put it to use right away.

We loved it for about three or four months, as we like different kinds of coffee, and this was the first machine of its kind we had seen that used single-serve discs so we could each have what we wanted without having to compromise.

However, we soon realized that the discs for the Tassimo are quite expensive in relation to other methods of brewing coffee, and the selection has not been nearly what we had expected.

We have since reverted back to using our old coffee maker (a basic Mr. Coffee) to save money, and in retrospect would have waited to see what other single-serve options made an appearance on the market before settling on the Tassimo (i.e. one that has more varieties of coffee readily available).

In terms of reliability, the Tassimo has worked very nicely, and is quite easy to use, so if you like the varieties of coffee that they offer, I would say go for it.

But if you're a fan of Green Mountain coffee, as we are, go for something like the Keurig and you'll have many more options.
