Philips Senseo

by Claire
(Eugene, OR, USA)

We had owned a Senseo before when living in The Netherlands, where the Senseo is made, and we were incredibly pleased to find the Senseo in America as well.

We purchased it at Walmart, although it appears to no longer be available there (we tried to purchase another one). We bought this one 1.5 years ago, and it's still working perfectly. Everybody loves this coffee maker.

Just stick in a coffee pod, turn the machine on, and when the light turns solid, the machine measures out exactly one or two cups, depending on your preference.

You can place two cups under it at the same time for small amounts, or one mug for a larger amount of coffee at once. In addition, we have purchased a special tea bag addition, and we frequently use the Senseo as an electric kettle (to boil hot water and make hot chocolate, or cup-a-soup).

We have found the coffee pads easy to find, and there is a good amount of variation, with even more that you can order from Europe, like coffee with cocoa in it, or cappuccino.

The quality of the coffee (Dutch brand) is outstanding, and we prefer the dark roast for the best flavor.

A lot of our friends have purchased a Senseo coffee maker at our recommendation, and we are all very pleased with it.
