Mr. Coffee 4-Shot Steam Espresso Machine ECM21

by Zachariah Brisson
(Port St Lucie, Florida)

$Mr. Coffee ECM21 4-Shot Espresso Machine
and 8-Cup Coffeemaker Combo

I got this Espresso Machine from my son for Christmas. It definitely had a cool factor just from the look of it. I'll admit though at first, I couldn't figure out how to work the thing for the life of me. It took the same son who bought it to show me how to work it. Wish it would have been easier to make espresso with.

I've had the espresso machine for over a year and a half almost now with no problems. I haven't had to maintain it yet. This is the first espresso machine I've ever owned so this was a first time experience for myself.

My son knew I was a coffee addict and always have been. So when he got me this machine I was overjoyed with happiness to have my very own espresso machine. No more Starbucks 5$ espressos anymore!! The espresso the machine makes takes some "practice" to say the least. You're first espresso won't be you're best tasting one that's for sure.

Once you get into the habit of it though you'll start to get creative by adding whipped cream and even you're own caramel sometimes. Depending on you're personal preference of course you can change the ingredients according.

The price at the time was over 90 bucks. Right now it's only 30 bucks, and with a combo package including coffee maker it's only 60 bucks. So definitely worth the price at the present time according.

A good machine for home use
by: Anonymous

Pros
- Quickly produces espresso.
- Easy to clean.

Cons
- Water resivour not visible.
- Rubber grommet traps scalded coffee.

All in all a good machine for home use. You can quickly produce up to four shots of espresso to make the drink of your choice. I prefer a latte while my wife likes a good mocha.

I find that while the espresso is produced very quickly one has to eyeball the account of coffee in the container as the numbers are hard to see on the side. The steamer works wonderfully after a few quick bursts of water clearing the tube.

The rubber grommet on the steamer allows you to adjust it without burning your fingers but makes clean-up something of a pain in the rear end. The cup that holds the grounds locks in with little effort and comes off just as easily. All in all this is a great product for the home user and the price can not be beaten.

If you are looking at making more then two drinks at a time you may want to look at a higher end machine that keeps the water in the resivour hot.
