Mr. Coffee 1 to 4 cup coffeemaker

My father, the big coffee drinker in the family, passed away recently and my mother wanted to replace the great big coffeemaker they had. It was a Mr. Coffee and was probably one of the first ones that Mr. Coffee made. I can’t remember a time when they didn’t have it.

So, I bought her an off-brand at a local drug store and, of course, that lasted two days. The morning of the second day, we couldn’t get the top off to pour in the water and after gently forcing it, the whole top snapped off in my hand.

Why do I bother buying cheap stuff when I know it isn’t any good? I went to my local big box store and purchased the smallest Mr. Coffee I could find - a 1-4 cup one.

It's so cute!! It's the perfect size for my mom. She likes one cup with breakfast and one cup while she's reading the newspaper and solving the paper's crossword puzzle.

It's easy to clean, easy to operate (my mom is 89), and looks nice on the counter. If a friend happens to stop by, it’s easy to make just a couple of cups.

She couldn't be happier.
