Kitchenaid Pro Line KPCG100OB Burr Coffee Grinder
I wanted to love my Kitchenaid Pro Line Burr Grinder, but like far too many dates - it was disappointing. The glass container for the ground coffee is very messy. Static electricity makes coffee (especially my favorite, fine ground coffee) stick to the sides and it floats out, falls out and gets all over.
The mill is also loud, even louder than most burr mills. The grind adjustment dial is convenient and does allow for easy adjustment through a wide range of grind from very coarse to very fine. Like most Kitchenaid appliances, the mill appears to be heavy and well made.
It is available in a range of colors and finishes to match nearly any kitchen. The bean reservoir in the top isn't as big as I'd like, ideally it should be twice the size of the reservoir for ground coffee as the coffee fluffs up after its ground. All in all it is a nice grinder, though for the price (about $200) I expected more.
