This coffeemaker is not worth the hassle when it comes to the warranty. Had coffee maker 8 months when error 2 showed on the display, called kitchen aid and was told no problem they would send me out a new unit and I could just return mine in the packaging that the new one was sent in. Three weeks later still no coffee maker, I called again and they told me they don't send out a new coffee maker they send out a shipping label. Told them I was very frustrated with their service so one of the supervisors said they would get the shipping label out within 24 to 48 hours and would be sending it by courier. One week later still no shipping label, called again another supervisor told me that this is not the case that it takes 5 to 7 business days and I need to wait another couple of days and I should receive the label. Still waiting for the label !!!!!!! Im not sure what they'll tell me when I phone again, think I'll go back to a Black and Decker product, my last one lasted over 20 years, got rid of it because I thought it might be nice to have a new one. Boy was I wrong!!! Never again will I have a Kitchen Aid Coffee Maker just because of their warranty and service.
