Jura Capresso Cool Grind 503

I have owned my Jura- Capresso Cool Grind 503 coffee mill/grinder for a few months and am very happy with it?s performance thus far. It is stainless steel with black accents, although it is also available in white or black. And has a tinted see through plastic lid that allows you to watch the progress of your grinding. The machine won?t operate unless the lid is firmly attached. It has a large stainless steel grinding bowl and stainless steel blades.

The grinding bowl holds 3.5 ounces, so it?s large enough to grind enough coffee beans to make a pot of coffee. It?s very easy to use. It has single button that you just push and release to grind. You can hold the button in to keep it grinding or push and release for pulse like grinding, which is recommended.

You can grind the beans as little or as much as you?d like depending on which type of machine you?ll be brewing your coffee in. Normally the problem with this type of grinder is that the blades heat up while grinding your coffee beans. But since this model is equipped with a low heat motor it won?t heat up or burn your coffee beans. So it helps to preserve the coffees delicate flavor.

This grinder has room in the base of it to store the cord. It is a nice compact unit measuring 7 and a half inches long and 3 and a half inches across. This unit also comes with a one year warranty for limited replacement or repair.

Pros
- inexpensive
- easy to use

Cons
- noisy
- not small enough to actually be portable
