Gevalia, black drip coffee maker

by Dawn P

We bought our coffee maker through one of the Gevalia mail order offers. I was skeptical of it but it has proven its worth. It is easy to work (no excess buttons, a simple clock and timer display) and has lasted well for over 2 years without maintenance except the usual washing out.

While it is a Gevalia brand coffee maker we usually use cheap roasts in it, and you can buy coffee filters for it at any store. There is no reason to continue buying Gevalia coffee unless you really love it!

The best feature in my opinion is the easily visible water level display which makes measuring out smaller pots of coffee very easy! It does have rubber feet which for some reason melted and stuck to our kitchen countertop, but they were easily removed and that small cosmetic fault is the only problem we have had.

Compared to other coffee makers I have used I really appreciate the Gevalia's simplicity and quick brewing time, as well as its timer mode which works perfectly for a wake-up brew.

I would recommend it if you are in the market for a reliable but unassuming coffee maker, especially since the last deal they had included two small packets of rich Gevalia coffee blends for free.

This product review about the Gevalia, black drip coffee maker is good and the features of this coffee makers are so lovely that don't want to waste time to buy it. The essay writing is always great and the people who can write the best reviews like this are so good because it is hard to write for many people.

I like it because it's inexpensive, easy to use, and relatively easy to clean. The only thing I don't like about it is that it is that it only fits small cups, so you can only make one small cup of coffee at a time. However, I only drink one cup per day on average, so it’s really not that bad.

coffee pots don't last
by: Anonymous

If the rubber feet on your coffee pot MELTED, why are you still using it? This sounds like a faulty coffee pot and a possible fire hazard.

We have had 4 Gevalia coffee pots. The thermal pot worked pretty well (had 2 of those). But, none of them lasted past a year (and we only make one pot of coffee a day, so they weren't over-worked).

The latest, Model CM500 is less than a year old, smelled like plastic for the first month (coffee had a plastic taste also), and now has stopped working completely.

Each time one of these pots stopped working, I pulled out my old Krups coffee pot and IT worked perfectly everytime (including this morning). It's not as nice looking as the Gevalia pots, but it WORKS.

Now I have another useless Gevalia coffee pot to add to the landfills. Never again.
