Gevalia, black drip coffee maker

by Dawn P
(Pennsylvania)

We bought our coffee maker through one of the Gevalia mail order offers. I was skeptical of it but it has proven its worth. It is easy to work (no excess buttons, a simple clock and timer display) and has lasted well for over 2 years without maintenance except the usual washing out.

While it is a Gevalia brand coffee maker we usually use cheap roasts in it, and you can buy coffee filters for it at any store. There is no reason to continue buying Gevalia coffee unless you really love it!

The best feature in my opinion is the easily visible water level display which makes measuring out smaller pots of coffee very easy! It does have rubber feet which for some reason melted and stuck to our kitchen countertop, but they were easily removed and that small cosmetic fault is the only problem we have had.

Compared to other coffee makers I have used I really appreciate the Gevalia's simplicity and quick brewing time, as well as its timer mode which works perfectly for a wake-up brew.

I would recommend it if you are in the market for a reliable but unassuming coffee maker, especially since the last deal they had included two small packets of rich Gevalia coffee blends for free.
