GE 5 cup digital coffeemaker - model #898712
by Suzy Blitz
The coffeemaker comes with a "water filter holder" and into this holder goes a small charcoal filter which has to be replaced after every 60 brews.
There are no instructions telling how to get the filter into this holder, and the photo illustration is too dark to determine how this is done. I spent an hour trying to figure this out after which I asked my husband, who gave up after 15 minutes. End result, I took the coffee maker back to Wal-Mart and exchanged it for another brand. The fact that the charcoal filter has to be replaced after 60 brews is an ongoing expense. The cost is the filters is 2 for $7.49.
