Not everyone can always be pleased with every product on the market so you will have to make your own decision. A Closer look at the Cuisinart DCC-1200The Kitchen Aid coffee maker is nice because it makes twelve full cups of coffee. It has a retro style with stainless steel that is brushed and it looks very hip. The coffee maker has a timer on it that allows you to set the time you want your coffee brewed during a full 24 hour period. There is also a programmable shut-off on the coffee maker so it doesn’t stay hot all day long. There is a warming plate that is heat adjustable so you can decide the temperature that you want your coffee. You might like your coffee really hot or you might like it warm. You can decide the temperature of your coffee. After two hours the warming plate will automatically shut off and if you like to drink coffee for more than two hours you can turn it back on. The filter included is a permanent filter that is not removable. This is a nice feature. There is a pause and serve function that will allow you to get a fresh cup of coffee while a pot of coffee is brewing and the coffee will stop pouring out of the filter so you can pour a cup. When you replace the carafe the pot will begin brewing again. Cuisinart DCC-1200 ProsThe majority of consumers who bought this coffee maker were very happy with it. Many consumers stated that the coffeemaker makes an excellent cup of coffee and it tastes great. They love the warming plate and the fact that it conveniently fits underneath most cabinets. The carafe is made properly and it doesn’t pour coffee all over the place when you try to pour yourself a cup. Many carafes from coffee pots tend to dribble coffee all over when you pour yourself a cup of coffee. This one doesn’t. The retro look of the coffee maker is a favorite and the black and stainless steel mixture looks very nice in the kitchen. It is also said that the carafe that goes with this model is very classy looking and the handle is easy to hold and fits in your hand well. The price on this model is affordable and most consumers are very happy. Cuisinart DCC-1200 ConsOne of the complaints with this particular coffee maker was that the steam from the pot would rise from the bottom at the warming plate. The position of the clock is where the steam rises. After a short while of owning the coffee maker the steam had completely ruined the clock which meant the person was unable to set the timer anymore. The coffee and the maker are excellent but it was a recommendation for the next time that the clock needed to be positioned in a different part of the coffeemaker away from the steam. There are other complaints from consumers about this product including there not being an external water gauge for you to see how full it is. You have to look inside the reservoir to know how much water you poured into it. One person stated the alarm was too high pitched and bothered them every time the coffee was brewed and they couldn’t figure out how to deactivate it and stated that there is no way to deactivate this feature. The water pump that brings the water up into the filter has stopped working for some consumers. They stated that in the middle of a pot of coffee brewing it just stopped pushing water through and that was it. It no longer worked again after this. There were not many reviews who stated this problem but a few.
