Black & Decker CBG100S Stainless Steel Coffee Grinder

This Coffee grinder is fantastic!. I really cant say how good this product is. I'm a regular coffee drinker and this is my third grinder and the only one to last past the 6 months marker. I grind coffee twice a day 7 days a weak and all the previous grinders I have had never lasted that long.

It's really the first grinder that I would consider recommending to friends. B&D have obviously gone to quiet some lengths with the design of this product.. High quality stainless steel outer shell, strong hardened blades and generous cord length make this a great buy. The grinder is finished well and never jams.

The design of the bowel makes emptying easier. The coffee falls out really easily and doesn't stick to the edges like other grinders. The plastic cup at the top could be a little more substantial, but considering the regular use I give it its obviously sufficient enough!

The only real bad point is that the on off button isn't positioned sensibly and this layout could have been thought out a little better, it's obviously been place for style and not use! Also this placement can make cleaning the outside a little tricky but so long as you don't go using it with sticky hands you will be fine! All in all this is still a minor issue and you soon get used to it.

As I've said this grinder is really good, well built and to top it all of sensibly priced. I think I'm going to have to grind up some fresh right now! Happy grinding

Best for Personal use on Occasion
by: Anonymous

Pros
- Easy to clean
- Very stylish
- Won't Run unless the lid is seated properly

Cons
- Difficult to maintain a thorough consistency with the beans
- Large and bulky

I purchased my Black & Decker Stainless Steel Coffee Grinder at Wal-Mart nearly three years ago and I will say that it is certainly quite clean and stylish in design. It added to the décor in my kitchen and was small enough to not give the appearance of adding clutter. The coffee grinder is also fool-proof for sure. It will not run unless the lid seated properly; preventing any mess.

The downside of the grinder for me is that it is difficult to maintain a thorough consistency with the beans. The other thing I was not impressed with, and I do know this is a catch 22 I don’t want large bulky items cluttering the counters but I am looking for the smaller items to contain more actual ground space, the grinding space allows for minimal grinding causing you to have to go through the process multiple times in order to have any decent volume of beans ground.

Overall, I like the grinder for at home personal use on occasion. The value for the money it cost is certainly there. It was barely $20.00 when I purchased it. However , if you are a heavy coffee drinker who likes to grind their beans for a full pot on a daily basis, or if you are grinding for an office environment consisting of more than two people ,this is probably not the grinder for you. Mine has served me well but I would trade up in a heartbeat.
