Braun Aromaster - KF 400
There doesn’t seem to be much of a difference in the Aromaster KF 400 and the KF 420. Both are considered compact and stylish with basically the same features and the same lack of features. One feature the kf 400 lacks from the kf 420 is the gold tone filter which basically allows for a richer tasting coffee. Owners of the Braun Aromaster KF 400 coffee maker find this appliance easy to fill with water because of the wide opening on the flip back tank lid, which helps to prevent spillage, and feel the spout on the glass carafe is proportioned just right for pouring coffee or water, preventing you from having to clean up a big mess from your counter. A neat little feature consumers seem to enjoy is the cord storage compartment in back of the coffee maker. Perfect for tucking the cord away when the appliance is not in use. The flavor sealed glass carafe helps to keep the coffee hot and full flavored longer. The swing out filter basket is easy to remove and clean, and is dishwasher safe. The Braun KF 400 also has overflow protection to ensure the customer of any unnecessary messes. Consumers have found the small size of this coffee maker a perfect fit for countertops compared to other models that tend to take up too much space. Comes with a pause and serve button that enables the coffee drinker to remove the pot while in mid-brew to pour himself a cup, if waiting is not an option he chooses. The price is right for consumers who aren’t in need of all the little extras other coffee makers come with. One of the downsides of this product is the noise the coffee maker seems to make during the brewing process. Some have claimed that it can get a little loud at times and that can be a little annoying. They also suggest that they put an automatic shut off control on this model for those of us coffee drinkers that forget to turn the appliance off or don’t unplug it. Leaving the coffee maker on can cook the coffee right down to the bottom of the pot therefore burning the carafe or worse. Replacing the carafe may cost almost as much as buying a new coffee maker all together. Despite the complaints the consumers all basically agree that the Braun Aromaster KF 400 makes a great pot of coffee. Of the top ten leading coffee makers, the KF 400 was rated 10th on a survey. Everyone seems for the most part to approve of this coffee maker and like the fact that is very affordable. Many are happy with the fact it’s compact, not the least bit fancy with a lot of special features, and the coffee it brews is very satisfying to the taste. But for those of you that miss the automatic timer that takes care of having your coffee prepared for you when you wake up, or you feel it’s too slow or too noisy, you need to remember one thing. You get what you pay for.
